Linerless Platen Roller

Having a linerless platen roller is an option on a small number of thermal barcode printers. While the standard platen roller is designed to work with normal labels and tags, a linerless platen is used with special linerless labels. Linerless labels have no backing material so the adhesive is exposed during the printing process. With the standard platen roller the linerless label would stick and wrap around the platen. A linerless platen is specially made to prevent this from happening. The linerless platen roller will not work with normal labels and tags so you need to be sure which you need before purchasing.
