Polycom CMA Audit Usage Threshold Exceeded System Alert

CMA 6.0.1 Patch 2

The default Audit log threshold on the CMA is 70% (1.4G of 2G), and the CMA will have the following alert when it reaches the threshold:

The following CMA System Alert occurred on Monday, May 7, 2012 8:53:08 AM CDT

Level:   INFO

Type:    AuditUsageThresholdExceeded

Message: The audit logs exceed the size threshold of 1.400 gigabyte(s).  Please perform audit log maintenance.  Failure to backup may result in loss of data.

To Backup and Delete the files you will need to go into Reports > Audit Log Files.

Select one of the logs, and then select Backup and Delete under Actions on the left.


A window pops up with all the files checked.

Select Backup, and the Backup and Delete window opens.

WAIT FOR A ZIP FILE TO OPEN. There is no progress bar, and it may take a while for it to come up.

Once the zip file pops up please save it to your desktop.

From the Backup and Delete window select Download Verification Utility, and it save to your desktop.

Open the Verification Utility (FileVerifier.jar), and browse for the zip file you saved to your desktop.

Select Compute once the appropriate file has been selected.

Now select Copy, and the Verification Value will be copied to your clipboard.

Paste the Verification code into the Backup and Delete window.

Now select Verify and Delete, and all the files, with the exception of the current files, will be removed.
