Twitter is an AWESOME resource for individuals and businesses alike. The ability to quickly browse through the most current news headlines from those organizations that matter most to me not only saves me time, but also makes any intake of information much more relevant. Twitter has enabled me to better understand ScanSource Inc., their vendors and customers, and B2B marketing practices much more quickly than I expected as a professional marketing intern.

Great video. Interesting to see everyone’s different uses…
…I use Twitter to see what’s going on in the POS/BC tech industry.

I use Twitter quite frequently for business purposes to get the word out to my followers. I find it an extremely valuable (and free) tool to use to complement an existing marketing plan. I like to set up streams of communication based on keywords so I can keep a pulse on what’s going on with manufacturers, competitors, customers and technology in general. It’s not as scary as people think. I suggest using a product like HootSuite to make it easier to view and track. Good luck!

I use twitter about 75/25 business and personal. It’s a great resource to spread the word about different work-related things to a large group without the typical spam message of an e-mail (if you do it right). It can also be a big differentiator for your company if you stay on top of it. I also like to chip in some fun info/quotes/personality… gotta be likable! :-) You can get info from me by following nlord53 and healthcare_sc on twitter!

I use Twitter to talk about promotions that I’m running as well as pertinent information that may be helpful to our customers. I like to “retweet” industry related topics that I find interesting. I’m always on the lookout for more ScanSource customers to follow! I work on teams for several different programs which have Twitter accounts. Follow me at kvpeery, Govt_Source and SCVisualSource on Twitter.

I think it is a great resource to keep me current. Since I am rarely at my desk, I do not use it as a communication as much as I do a resource for searching and following trends, ideas and concepts. I Retweet a lot of stuff that I think is good and I try to stay on topic with marketing, B2B and interactive content.

Twitter…. it’s a love/hate relationship. I love to use it to keep me up-to-date on marketing trends, case studies and stats. I love it so much that I follow everyone. Which leads to information overload and the hated relationship! So glad there are tools for filtering!
