ScanSource Communications is excited to announce several new features to our Quoting, Implementation and Configuration (QIC) tool.  Launched in May 2013, QIC Version 13 has been enhanced to include three new abilities that allow users to create a Partner price list, provide multiple support contract options on a single quote and calculate a Partner’s labor costs.  Providing these new features coupled with our commitment to have the most up-to-date parts, pricing and promotions gives ShoreTel Partners a single, reliable system in which to manage their ShoreTel quotes.  More information on the new abilities of QIC can be found below and in associated blog posts.

Partner Price List

Found on the “Quote Tool” worksheet, the “Create Price List” button allows a user to create a full ShoreTel price list with one click.  This new feature adds one of every part in QIC to a parts list and exports it to an Excel or CSV file.  The resulting file is formatted for easy import into third-party quote and part management systems.

Support Contract Comparisons

A new feature during quote generation called “Include Support Comparison” allows the user to include up to 2 additional support contracts on the quote.  Partners can now provide their customers with a single quote containing multiple service contracts with differing terms and product coverage without having to regenerate the quote multiple times.

Partner Labor Calculator

A new worksheet in QIC allows Partners to calculate their own labor costs for performing ShoreTel installations.  The user is able to enter labor hours per part number along with an hourly rate with margin to calculate the overall cost, or import the information straight into the QIC tool.  Using this QIC calculator removes the need for ShoreTel Partners to manage two different quoting tools for parts and labor.

In addition to the new features above, QIC Version 13 is the first version in which ShoreTel 14 software and the exciting new IP 930D DECT phone are available.  The features above were added at the request of our ShoreTel Partners, and we’re always looking for feedback on ways to improve QIC and your ability to effectively quote and sell ShoreTel products.  Let us know what is important to you!
