ScanSource Communications partnered with Barco, Edgewater Networks, Plantronics and Polycom to take our 2017 sUCCess Roadshow Tour to the Washington, DC area, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas during April and May, 2017. We showcased four top room environments with products in full working order at each location, along with manufacturer representatives and several ScanSource folks. We had great fellowship, delicious food, fun activities from golfing to bowling to Knott’s Berry Farm, with Plantronics headsets that were given away at each show. All in all, we were able to interact with well over 125 of our existing resellers and new prospects!

We showcased the following four UCC solutions, all secured with an EdgeProtect 7000 series Session Border Controller from Edgewater Networks, which provided core network hardware and software that ensured a secure and stable network environment for both the voice and video. The EdgeProtect also provided interoperability between the different vendors’ voice/video equipment.

  1. The Traditional Desktop showed a typical solution utilizing a Polycom VVX IP phone and a Plantronics Savi headset. This solution is perfect for those on the Microsoft platform and allows the desk worker flexibility with the headset – noise canceling with three different wearing styles. This equates to a much more enjoyable experience.
  2. The Executive Office offered a more advanced solution that any executive would value. It included an Elo touchscreen, Polycom Group Series 310 codec, EagleEye Acoustic camera and VVX 600 phone, along with a Plantronics Voyager headset. When you add in the new Plantronics MDA220, the UC transition is greatly simplified since UC calls can then be managed from multiple devices, all with the same headset.
  3. The Huddle room showed a solution for quick gatherings that allowed content sharing and included the Polycom Trio and Visual+ along with a Barco ClickShare CSE-200. The solution is enterprise grade and the setup is easy, the components are elegant while reducing clutter and providing sharp, rich and reliable content sharing and live video interaction. It’s a huddle room offering that is attractive to SMB, SME and Enterprise companies!
  4. And lastly, our Traditional Conference Room showcased a typical conference room with a Polycom RealPresence Group 500 series, EagleEye Director II, and an EagleEye IV camera with a Barco ClickShare CSE-800. The video and collaboration was clear, easy and seamless. You really had to be at the show to see just how excellent the experience was. If you missed us, we’re hoping to do this again soon!

In closing, you’ll find that by adding additional products to your existing portfolio, you can increase your profitability while offering a total audio / video solution to your customer – thereby being seen as a trusted advisor. Allow ScanSource Communications to continue assisting you in creating relevancy with your customers while adding to your bottom line margins!
