USAV, a group of integrators, manufacturers and service providers with a shared passion for the audio-visual industry, gives ScanSource the platform to collaborate with partners at events throughout the year. After being purchased by PSA Security Network in 2017, this year’s Spring Integrator Meeting offered a crossover and convergence of the audio-visual and security industries.

The show floor was lively, loud and packed full of exhibitors and integrators eager to learn more about the latest industry offerings. With over 100 exhibitors, there was something for everyone in attendance. From seamless video walls to facial recognition software and even robotic security sentries, the future of AV and security integration was on full display. There was no shortage of lively discussion, speaking sessions and industry panels during the week, but one theme seemed more prevalent than others – the idea of “AV anywhere”. Constant access to technology has shifted customer needs, and there’s a growing expectation that all members of an organization should have access to tools like video conferencing, wireless screen sharing and real-time collaboration. With several solutions offering lower total cost of ownership for customers, meeting these demands is now within reach for partners of all sizes.
