Last week’s Global Partner Conference has now come to a close, and I can’t help but think about all of the exciting times we had last week. It started off with a Meet and Greet that provided the perfect opportunity for reseller partners to network with Mitel and ScanSource executives. In the 1COMM general session, Mitel’s President and CEO, Rich McBee, had a pivotal moment where he unveiled the Mitel UCaaS strategic portfolio for 2018. ScanSource was honored to be the selected platform for this unveiling. And, who could forget our standing-room only Educational Session where Todd Abbott, Mitel EVP Global Sales & Services, dove further into the UCaaS portfolio, PLUS talked about how digital transformation brings opportunity into the premise space.

Here are a few key takeaways:

  • Mitel is investing in two strategic UCaaS Solutions for North America: MiCloud Connect (previously ShoreTel Connect CLOUD) and MiCloud Enterprise. These flagship solutions will simplify Mitel’s focus:
    • MiCloud Connect: a complete unified communications and collaboration solution that features a brilliantly simple customer experience across all devices for small, medium, and highly distributed businesses.
    • MiCloud Enterprise: an advanced unified communications and collaboration solution engineered to deliver a more comprehensive set of collaboration and contact center capabilities for specialized businesses of all sizes.
  • Mitel will continue to focus and develop premise solutions with exciting 2018 roadmaps.
  • Mitel will continue to sell the legacy ShoreTel product line and Mitel products (I know we all breathed a sigh of relief here).

This was truly an unforgettable educational and inspirational experience for our partners and employees. 2018 is going to be an amazing year for Mitel and ScanSource.
