“The mediocre teacher tells, the good teacher explains, the superior teacher demonstrates, the great teacher inspires.” – William Arthur Ward
It’s good to remind yourself what the key elements are to being successful. In my world of helping to educate and train technology resellers, the words of William Arthur Ward say it best. Especially when I think about the number of students we impact.
The ScanSource Services Group Education team taught 28 different classes to hundreds of students in the quarter ended September 30, 2012. Our facilities across the US are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best student learning environment. We offer these classes in Atlanta, GA; Greenville, SC; Phoenix, AZ; Lenexa, KS; Miami, FL; and Southaven, MS, and we even pack our class up in a “suitcase” and go to our partners’ sites. It’s a great way for our partners to give their technical team the certification training they need.
Even more important than first-class facilities, the SSG Education team works to provide a great class environment to meet the needs of our students. Our focus is on being a certified Authorized Training Partner for our vendor partners to provide our reseller partners the necessary training to ensure their success. It was nice to get recognized for these efforts recently.
Avaya Learning Partner Program (ALPP) recently announced that ScanSource Services Group is a recipient of the “Highest Student Satisfaction Award” for Q3 2012. The ALPP recognition award identifies the top-performing Learning Partners in the previous quarter and is based on student survey results data pulled from Metrics that Matter (MTM).
We are honored to receive this award from Avaya. It is consistent with our continuous focus to deliver the best certification classes to our business partners.
We work closely with our partners to make sure we understand their needs. And it’s nice to get a note that supports our mission. This week we received the following:
Your trainer was here last week, and the feedback was fantastic. Each of our Techs received the training on the Avaya IP Office, not only from a trainer but someone who installs the equipment and understands the work the Techs need to go through to accomplish the installs. We are looking forward to our 2nd class next week and classes in the 1st quarter of 2013.”
Terrie Fox, CenturyLink
Thanks to all of our partners. Get ready, because we’re getting ready to inspire you in 2013.
