Catalyst ConfigTool: Manual Backup/Restore

The Manual Backup/Restore option is used to backup (and restore) Dealer Pricing and Custom Items. Once the backup process has been completed, the resulting file can then be stored for safe keeping in case a recovery is needed or it can be restored to another users ConfigTool.

Backup

To update the Catalyst ConfigTool, start the previous version of the Catalyst ConfigTool that was used on your computer.

Once started select Help -> Management

Select Backup/Restore

Select the Backup radio button; enter the file name to save to in the File Path box.

Select the Backup button to perform the backup to the file specified. Once backup is complete, select the Done button and close the ConfigTool.

Restore

To restore the Catalyst ConfigTool, start the new version of the Catalyst ConfigTool that was downloaded and saved.

Once started select Help -> Management.

Select Backup/Restore.

Select the Restore radio button; enter the file name to save to in the File Path box. You can browse for the file by selecting the button with the three dots (…).

Once the Restore is completed, select the Done button.

From the Management Menu, select Exit and Save. Select Yes from the popup question.
